The Somethings are an alternative/indie rock band from Belgrade, Serbia, formed in October 2011. Initially focusing on covering indie rock, punk rock, and alternative rock songs, the first two years of their existence were marked by the idea that the youth rock'n'roll scene in their hometown was in dire need of a band that would work towards the popularisation of a more alternative and sophisticated sound. In May 2013, The Somethings entered a process of transformation - while the core of the band, consisting of Nikola Kostić (drums), Pavle Pavičić (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Nenad Gavrilović (lead guitar), remained constant, a change at the position of the lead vocalist introduced Pavle Ilić to the band. Ljubomir Brščić would soon take up the position of the rhythm guitarist, and the band would get its current line-up after Nemanja Lučić (keyboards) joined, starting his performing career with The Somethings at the "Volim Rock" festival in Vinča, at which they would play alongside Električni orgazam - a cult Yugoslav rock group. This transformation would mark a break with The Somethings' identity as a strictly cover band. While they are still searching for a sound that could be labelled as "theirs", The Somethings are no strangers to inter-genre experimentation ranging from the energetic, raw and harsh riffs of "Silazi" (lit. Get Down), over toying with jazz and ska standards, through the progressive structure of "Monoton" (Monotone). Having become recognised among
