Five Travellers

Five Travellers is an alter ego of the Czech rock group Olympic from Prague. This name was used for the French EP "Story Of A Wonder", which they released during their stay in France between 1968–1969. Olympic formed in 1963 after the breakup of “Karkulka”. Apart from their resident stage at club “Olympik”, they also performed as a house band of the Semafor Theatre Prague, where they premiered in the “Ondráš podotýká” music show on 11 November 1963. They debuted on 7" vinyl in 1964 as a studio backing band for Karel Gott and Yvonne Přenosilová, albeit uncredited. Olympic was initially led by Karel Mareš, briefly by Miloslav Růžek, and since 1965 by Petr Janda. The band is still actively performing as of 2017.
