The Snake Charmers band from Houston, Texas, plays rockin', swingin', bluesy music. Their first CD, "Been Gone Too Long," was released in December 2008 and the band has been nominated for a Houston Press Music Awards for Best Blues Band. Fronted by vocalist/keyboardist Marie Angell, Larry Meeker on guitar, Will Blumentritt playing bass and Eric Blumentritt on drums, the band plays an eclectic mix of blues/blues rock music. "The band is more than a group of four individuals. Angell tells us that “…each brings something unique to the CD. Really, this is a unit”. This unity shows as the album is a well balanced, well written, and well produced work.
