"Been Gone Too Long," The Snake Charmers' first all original CD, is scheduled for release December, 2008. The 10 songs, all written by lead vocalist/keyboardist Marie Angell, are an eclectic mix of blues/blues rock styles, from the New Orleans feel of "Big Big Love," "Can't Trust a Heart," a blues/blues ballad, the traditional "Move On Blues," to the Southern blues rock of "No Mercy." The Snake Charmers songs rely on the directness, emotion and stylings of the blues but with more rock/pop sensibility than traditional blues.
