The Slurred Murrays began life as an unnamed trio featuring Rick Surette Abram Taber and John Greene. Following stints with a few drummers (including Pete Walsh of Roadkill Puppetteers and Trance Cult Riot), they finally settled on Christian Cavicchio. The band members took on their own Murray names which were as follows: Momo the Amazing Dancing Murray - John Greene Dicky Murray - Rick Surette Lloyd Murray - Abram Taber Wheels Murray - Christian Cavicchio The band went on hiatus in 1999 after their second show and reformed in 2005. They recorded an EP of five songs which were never properly released but were tossed out at shows with a variety of titles scribbled onto the CD-R's. The band again disbanded after a show at the Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge, MA on November 1, 2008.
