The Skindys were first formed in late 2008 by founding members Luke Allen, Jack Jenkinson and Michael "tiny fists" O'Neill. The band's sound is predominantly ska indie, hence the name and genre. The first official gig that the band played was a semi acoustic affair at Liverpool university guild. Since then the band have added members Sam Thomas and Lizi Hanley. With a complete line up, the band have played many gigs throughout their native Liverpool including Zanzibar, Korova, Krazy house, Liverpool Uni Guild and more. The band have also played as part of Liverpool music week one of the biggest multi-venue festivals in the United Kingdom. The Skindys have many awards to their name including the coveted Liverpool Uni battle of the bands '09. 2010 is sure to hear more from this fantastical band.
