The Rough and The Velvet is a project that came abouth in 2005, when Tanya, the sole permanent member at this time, decided the time was ripe to realize her lifelong dream of making music. Already a poetry writer, she had many lyrics waiting to be put into music but the task wasn't so simple given she has only basic musical skills. Finally the first album was created with the aid of a computer and recording of real instruments in rather precarious conditions, the outcome is something quite original.
