Lo-fi punk psychedelic five-piece from northwest Ohio, The Plastic Factory were named after a song by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band (which they covered) and played their own uniquely shambolic version of Beefheartian rock ("The Liver Spotted Standard," "Drongo"), garage standards ("Maid of Sugar, Maid of Spice," "Mr. Pharmacist") and meandering motorik improvs ("Innerstellar"). Together for just a year, The Plastic Factory melted down in 1999 and gave birth to garage rockers The Orgones and The Unexpected.
