Chiptunes, also known as "8-bit" or "video game music" is a widely unappreciated genre. It's not something a lot of born before the 1980s can really take seriously. Mike Vallejo has a long history of music-making that also might not be taken seriously. His latest project, The One Electronic, despite being cheifly classified as Chiptunes, has been polished to a very nice gleam of electronic music that anyone can enjoy. Combining the awesome powers of acid and 8-bit synths, Mike has created a musical journey about a robot who falls in love with color. - G.V.
