This concept album, simply titled "Robit" after the name of the character the story follows, has a wonderful array of moods. The story is a classic "hero falls in love and fights the evil wizard on top of a mountain" but takes an interesting turn towards the end when Robit runs from the wizard instead of defeating him. Electronic music can be difficult to judge; there is so much of it and it all varies. I'll make my recommendation for this album simple: if you like delicious melodies and fun beats to tap your foot to then this is an album for you. The sugar-coated synths leave nothing to be desired in this exquisite piece of work, but that doesn't mean there isn't more. As a bonus to everyone who purchased a physical copy of the album, The One Electronic included a bonus 4 tracks of remixes done by various artists. Each of these are well crafted and strangely different from their originals without straying too far from the general mood of the album. Robit is a treat for anyone who enjoys electronic music, especially for those of us nostalgic for gameboy and NES melodies. - G.V.
