The Occasional Word was a British poetry/folk-rock ensemble formed in Liverpool by Geoff Hill, John Brown, Mitch Howard, Peter William Roche (poet born 1942; died Feb. 2015), Richard Sylvester, and Rick Sanders (guitarist). The ensemble released the album "The Year Of The Great Leap Sideways" in 1969 (produced by John Peel, renowned DJ, and released on his Dandelion Records).
