There are two bands named The Night Watch: 1. This Italian band has obviously listened to its share of early MARILLION, and emulates their neo-prog take on the old GENESIS sound exceptionally well. This group takes its inspiration in the inheritance and in the spirit of the great GENESIS and uses a delicate and airy guitar in the style of Steve HACKETT, Mellotron layers, a flowing flute and a complex writing. "Twilight's" album is a romantic, symphonic progressive rock, recalling early GENESIS, MARILLION and KING CRIMSON. Those who liked AUFKLARUNG should not miss this release. A solid debut from a very promising group! Personnel: Simone Rossetti - vocals Franceso Zago - guitars & programming Antonio Mauri - bass Giovanni Alessi - keyboards Diego Donadio - drums 2. Canadian band: Since their humble beginning in 2008, The Night Watch have spent the past five years writing, performing, recording, and producing their debut self-titled full-length album. At nearly one-hour in duration, The Night Watch’s first recorded testament is an ambitious instrumental adventure through a wide range of genres. Blending influences from styles such as Folk Metal, Black Metal, Doom Metal, Progressive Metal, Post Metal, Post Rock, Jazz, Swing, Neofolk and Classical, The Night Watch aims to embrace these dynamic possibilities with a spirit of exploration akin to the Progressive Rock bands of the 1970s.
