Having a female frontman and a 4 man backline is hard work for The Missive as they are commonly mistaken for being a band that is stongly influenced by the likes of Paramore and Hey Monday. But no! The veins of their music runs far deeper than simple pop-rock. From the South Wales Valleys and The Missive orginally formed in 2008, with no name and no reason, except to have a laugh. After a long break they reformed in mid 2009 with a new drummer and a band name. They spent most of the year writing music, playing as many gigs as possible and generally finding their feet. The beginning of 2010 was all about writing new material and less about playing shows.
