The Lo Frequency is a unique phenomenon in the world of music. This dynamic collective produces its distinctive sound by drawing from contemporary events, simple life experiences and musical influences across a myriad of genres such as hip hop, jazz, blues, soul, rock & roll, R&B, Afro-beat, and pop. They toured with Jazz at Lincoln Center on the Rhythm Road and have performed, implemented music/culture workshops and master classes in Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria. Chen Lo has also been a cultural envoy of hip-hop history, culture, and practice in Vietnam. The band recently returned from a second tour in Lebanon and the Ringmaterz sponsored by Yamaha in Vietnam in January 2011. Other recent performances include the Beats, Rhymes, and Life concert at Crash Mansion in New York City in Jan 2011 as well as a headliner performance at the NCIV 50th Anniversy Gala in Washington, D.C. in February 2011. They are planning the release of their first official studio EP "The Export" which they recorded at The Soundmine Recording Studio in the Poconos.
