It all began when members Filippa (rhythm guitar/ lead vocals) and Rachael (lead guitar/ vocals) met through music school. During 2010, the two met Amanda of whom they decided to write and perform music as a trio. By the end of 2010, the girls found their drummer Roberto, and decided to form a band called The Last Day Of May. After only playing together for less than two months The Last Day of May entered and came second in ‘Ramped Battle of The Bands ‘11’ and have played a number of successful gigs since then. This year 2013, The Last Day of May are working towards their first album, continuing writing and recording and are hoping to gather as many supporters as they can. We hope to pursue a professional and successful musical career and want to share our music with the world. Our Influences include, Tegan and Sara, Avril Lavigne, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Joan Jett.
