Artist
There are two bands known by the name The Innocence: 1) This is in fact a new name for The Tradewinds, Peter Anders (Andreoli) and Vinnie Poncia. Another attempt by Kama Sutra to develop their "good time music" image together with Sopwith Camel and The Lovin Spoonful. (Indeed, The Innocence covers their Do You Believe In Magic?). 2) The Innocence also is/was an alternative rock band based in San Jose, California, consisting of high school friends Garett Gazay (guitar/lead vocals), David Kerrey (drums/back-up vocals), James Cho (lead guitar), and Andrew Kutsenda (bass). As described in an article from Zero Magazine, their musical style is "heavily influenced by groups such as the Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Radiohead and Oasis, as well as classic rock acts like the Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd." Bassist Andrew Kutsenda went on to become a local concert promoter for all ages venues in the southern part of the Bay Area, and he is credited with founding the San Jose Skate music venue.
