The Incompetents is a two-piece band from Beirut, Lebanon. Their music has been described by fans as similar to Joy Division, Animal Collective, Xiu Xiu and lyrically similar to Lou Reed and David Bowie. The band consists of Serge Yared and Fadi Tabbal, and both are Lebanese with influences that are widely diverse, ranging from Lou Reed, Stephen Jones, Daniel Johnston to Suburban Kids with Biblical Names and Moondog. The band has been working on an EP for quite some time now and is expected to launch in the near future in their native Lebanon. Yared provides lyrics, vocals and guitar. While Tabbal provides arrangements, programming, music, synthesizers, keyboards, drums, percussion and guitars. The band has set up a myspace page in order to promote their music as they still lack an official deal with a record label.
