The Howlin’ Gales offer a refreshing taste of what modern music is missing most: a rare blend of traditional instrumentation with a mystical resonance. Inspired by icons like Bob Dylan, The Band and other legends from the country, folk, blues and rock & roll worlds, the Toronto-based group uses gratingly mesmerizing vocals with lyrical pictures to draw listeners into their world. A trio including Mark Sinclair (vocals, guitar), Marcelo “Johnny” Maltez — (drums) and Chris Guirguis — (bass), the Howlin' Gales have steadily been building a loyal fanbase through their powerful yet emotive sound. After the release of their debut single ‘Afterlife’, the group has been gearing up for the release of their debut EP ‘The Howlin’ Gales’. The five-song project recounts deeply heartfelt stories of sorrow, grief and friendship while still allowing self-interpretation for the listeners.
