Animal Boy were a Brisbane heavy rock quartet that featured vocalist Ian Pool and Peter Robinson on drums. They were around from 1994 - 1999 and supported The Angels on their 1996 tour. The act were heavily influenced by acts like The Poor, Guns n'Roses, as well as fellow Australian acts Grinspoon and The Screaming Jets. The act released an independently produced and distributed EP "Walking Stick" which contained the anti-smoking song "Nicotine". After the band split up, Robinson went on to join Mary Wilson's band. Ian Pool changed careers to become a fine art, portrait and commercial photographer and has also photographed local bands.
