The Horne was formed in June 2005 by front man Daniel Lindsay, Jason Johnston & guitarist Colin Dacey. Andrew Kilbourne the bands bass player was the next to join the group, in late August 2005. The wheels were set in motion by a chance meeting between old school friends Jason & Colin at a gig in south east london earlier that year. They had formerly been members of a band that had disbanded in the Autumn of 1999 and together had played a number of gigs in and around the capital at venues like the rock garden, the 100 Club & the Bermondsey Carnival. After a lengthy chat Colin agreed to go to the studio to meet with vocalist Daniel Lindsay who Jason met whilst working with another band earlier that year. During this time they had wrote plenty of new material but felt that they needed a new band line up to play with them. Now with Colin on board the search for the rest of the band began. After meeting with several other musicians during the next couple of months, another chance meeting came about, again by Jason and an old work colleague. This resulted in the band finding it's bass player in the Australian born Andrew Kilbourne. The band then experimented with several other guitarists through late 2005. Colin was switching rolls betweeen lead & rhythm guitars while they tried to find their crutial fith member. Finally in early december the band was introduced to Billy (wah wah) Martin and the line up was complete. The band did a couple of "secret" warm up gigs during January
