Sal is the new Welsh band phenomenon – simple as that. A four-piece rock/punk outfit, they kick out with energetic, emotional and incredibly catchy songs that still retain a keen edge. The songs look at life, the words deal in dreams, and the music makes you care and not care, all at the same time. Sal have worked extensively with producer Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers, Catatonia, INME) to create a fresh, punky, infectious sound that’s steadily built up a fan base since they got together in 2001 - thanks to TV appearances, radio airplay, numerous demos, UK tours, festivals and sheer hard work. Their debut album 'Dysfunctional' was produced by Greg Haver, and received rave reviews and frequent airplay on national radio. They returned in 2007 with the EP 'Infatuation', produced by Ace of Skunk Anansie fame. It featured the tracks 'In Love' and 'Goodbye' which has been played several times by Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson on his BBC6 radio show. In 2008, their track 'Devil May Care' won a MySpace competition to be the theme tune to the audiobook version of the new James Bond book, 'Devil May Care' by Sebastian Faulks. The track was at Number One in the Tourdates.co.uk Unsigned chart for 7 weeks. They are due release their second full-length album in June 2009, entitled 'Conversations with my Th
