There are multiple bands using this name. 1) Formed in the town of Greenock on the Clyde in 1985 The Hardy Boys went through a host of members before settling on John White, David McArthur, Michael Bonini, Derek Mullen and Ian McLaughlan. The Hardy Boys had just four official releases: the debut release "Wonderful Lie" a four-song EP on Stella 5 Records, which has long since been deleted and now changes hands for over Β£200 on internet auction sites; the track "15" on a cassette compilation known as Red Roses For Me; a 2004 "Wonderful Lie" re-release on Japan's Excellent Records; and 2005's "Let The World Smother You," produced by then Blue Aeroplanes and now Massive Attack guitarist Angelo Bruscini, which was initially set to be an EP on Egg in '91, but the label going belly-up prevented this from happening. A 14 track compilation compilation CD of the best of the band's back catalogue " THE HARDY BOYS PLAY SONGS FROM THE LENIN AND MCCARTHY SONGBOOK " is available. http://www.myspace.com/thehardyboysuk www.eggrecords.co.uk 2) The bubblegum band based on the 1969-1971 animated series based on the Hardy Boys books. 3) A country/rock band from Nashville, Tennessee.
