Artist
Conceived in 2005, The Ghost Sonata has taken 4 years, countless small tours, and a few line-up changes to create a collection of songs that capture the true voice of the band. The Hanged Men, our debut album (due out June 23rd 2009), will feature eight songs in which we attempt to make the heavy sound mellow and the ugly, beautiful. Our songs are often described as music for musicians; the small but loyal fan base we are grateful for was built on relentless touring, and the belief that there is something about a live show that can never be captured on a record. Among us, we have stretched the limits of sanity, seen loved ones pass on, and fought off death ourselves. We aspire to write songs that will let others see our music as we do...a direct reflection of the lives we’ve lived. Jonathan Decarlo, Robbie Vozza, Dave Alcan, and brothers Brian and Michael DiCrescenzo use 3 guitars, a bass, some drums, tambourines, shakers, jingle bells, loop pedals and the human voice to create the sounds that become their songs. The band also enjoys cereal, english soccer, and beards.
