The Black Owl Society is a blues/rock trio consisting of bassist/vocalist Buffalo (Pte), drummer Charlie Jones, and guitarist/vocalist Nate Boff. The band formed in Austin, Texas, in the later part of December, 2010. The three members have each had extensive experience both live and in the studio in their own right, most notably, Buffalo being an original member of Indigenous, the Native American family band that achieved national success in the late 90s and early 00s. The sound is inspired by heavy blues with a Native American influence. The Black Owl Society is currently gigging regularly in the music capital, and has recently finished recording their debut EP, to be officially released very soon.
