The Baggy Kidz first appeared on the now defunkt Struktur records based in Manchester. Brain child of producer Mark Pilkington this hard hitting music was first released on the EP 'Straight Outta Gorton' and copies are still available via www.thought-universe.co.uk. A video was produced for one of tracks called 'Fiesta Slagz' and is contained on the first EP which can be found on myspace. Electronica stalwart Mark Pilkington returns with this super limited CDR of pure acid hell released on his own Thought Universe Imprint. You should know what to expect now, the man who once contributed to Skam's hugely collectible MASK series of releases (you remember the ones that used to fetch a grand on Ebay) turns his hand to some real dancefloor killers, compressed into next Tuesday for utter destruction. The sounds here might not be the most up to date you could imagine, but this is retro without being cheesy and brings to mind the early days of Warp and Rephlex in the best possible way. I'm sure fans of Aphex Twin's recent Analord or Tuss material or fans of Luke Vibert's 'Ace of Clubs' album will find more than enough to sink their hungry choppers into on 'Love'.
