Teymur Mustafayev was born on 10th of April in 1939 in Jalilabad. Khanende, the Popular artist got his education in the Azerbaijan State Music School. His art teachers were Seyid Shushinski (Seyid Şuşunski) and Ahmad Bakikhanov. After finishing school Teymur Mustafayev continued his education in the Azerbaijan State University of Art and Culture. He is the soloist of the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic society since 1964. He used to work in the Azerbaijan State Concert Union since 1978 and has been working in Mugam Theater since 1998. Teymur Mustafayev’s repertoire is rich with mugam and tasnifs, folk songs and author songs. Mugams and tasnifs which were performed by him are saved in the Azerbaijan State Radio and Television Foundation.
