about

Tethered Hands is a Post-Rock project by pianist, Joseph D. E. Phillips, and guitarist, Dan Rickards. Joseph and Dan met through the "Post-Rock Appreciation Society" Facebook group early 2024. At the time, Joseph was working on finishing the EP "Selenium" for the Tethered Hands project and was looking to do something bigger than he was capable of on his own. Dan and Joseph teamed up and the result was "Tonight the World is Ending, Tonight We Say Goodbye" an emotional, heavy, explosive track that holds up against just about anything else in the genre. It was pure magic and inspired them to keep going. Tethered Hands (2025) is the result of a year of obsession, collaboration and growth, if for no other reason than to find a way to channel the hurt and rage from all the horrors that played out in 2024.
