Takanori Arisawa (April 2, 1951 β November 26, 2005) was a Japanese composer and arranger best known for his work on the anime series "Sailor Moon" and "Digimon" (Seasons 1β4), including their associated video games. Born in Tokyo, Arisawa began studying piano at the age of 20 and graduated from Senzoku Gakuen College. He started his professional music career in 1980 with the composition "Shinjuku Transfer" and went on to write music for television dramas produced by Tokyo Broadcasting System. In the 1990s, Arisawa transitioned to composing primarily for anime. His work on "Sailor Moon" initially drew from pop music influences but evolved to include classical elements as the series progressed. The success of "Sailor Moon" earned him several industry awards. Following that, he composed music for various other series, most notably the "Digimon" franchise, until his death from bladder cancer in 2005.
