Formed in early 2009 as one of the many side projects of Zephram (ex-Zlandicar, Metempsychosis, etc). He describes Taco Island's manifesto as "making music without preconceptions about genre while eating chicken-fried steak, BIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAATCH". His most notable influences, if indeed he can be said to have any, are Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band, Astral Projection, Melvins, Tom Waits, Wagon Christ, and Bombay Laughing Club among countless others. He employs a myriad of compositional techniques, including using a script to translate things he overhears into musical notation, heavily remixing his previous creations, sampling his own instruments, modifying existing samples with unconventional effects routing, databending, and having a ferret dance on a keyboard until it produces something that sounds good. He also writes articles about himself in the third person, because hell, someone's got to do it.
