Strange Neighbours were founded in the late 80's in Neustadt am Rübenberge near Hannover as a rock cover band .Material included rock classiccs from ACDC to Metallica. In 1991 there were changes in the line up with new lead vocalist, new lead guitar and new drummer. Subsequently, the focus went from covering rock classics and specialities to write own material. The new songs had many influences. Even though some cover songs were retained in the live performance, i.e. "Mother" from Danzig which always was very well received by the live audiences. There were quite some gigs in and around Hannover between 1991 and 1995, but unfortunately Strange Neighbours did not have the success as some other local Hannover bands of those times like Terry Hoax, Guano Apes. However they won a local band contest and were able to record a four song ep. Songs featured She Said Broken Sun Don't Worry Where...? which showed the potential of the band. Strong songs, always ver energetically driven by the very talented bass/drum section, hard to tag to one style; today propably alternative rock, post grunge would be appropriate descriptions. In 1995 lead vocalist and guitarist left the band to pursue careers outside music. The core of the band, (lead guitar, bass, drums) went on to form a new band called Levelomania a year later in 1996 , which has also had several changes in lead vocalist later on and produced several emo core cd's. This band was also abandoned.afer several years. bass
