Slave called Shiver is an Austrian alternative rock band. Behind the name Slave called shiver are two partners who have a shared musical journey since 2006. At the time, the amateur band received a phone call to fill a slot at the last minute - a chance to play for 200 people. Fired on by this challenge, they delivered an energetic performance for an excited crowd. The seeds were sown for Alicia Bankhofer and Philipp Rechthaler to continue as a serious rock band, aiming to forge the best of grunge, progressive and alternative rock into their own brand. Their first album SUPERLATERAL has been released in April 2010. Their band name is taken from the song Slave called Shiver by the British progressive band Porcupine Tree.
