Stones of Madness was formed in Cape Coral, FL, USA, in 2011. It is a project that includes former Dry Kill Logic guitarist Scott Thompson and Atheist frontman Kelly Shaefer. The project is being recorded at Timeline Studios in Ft. Myers, Florida and is being produced by Scott "Scoob" Bush (former guitarist of The Nixons) for a 2012 release. Both Scott and Kelly have deep Metal roots and have influenced many of today's Metal acts.
