Blast Tyrant formed in the festering indie swamp that is Warrington around 2009, an explosive reaction to the bland, anti-rock n' roll, corporate pop metal that is being pedalled in the contemporary music press, spearheading the revolt with the ostentatious propaganda of tyrannical riffs! Several mercenaries banded together following previous failed bloody coups on the inane local music scene, the surviving line up being; Louis Capstick on vocals, Alex Reilly on bass, and brothers Kev, Phil and Mike Tingle on guitar, drums and guitar respectively. twin guitar, sleazy, sex drugs and rock n roll clichés, attacked with an angry hardcore punk, fuck you attitude! In a van that’s always blasting Orange Goblin, Clutch, Cancer Bats and Kvelertak amongst other classic rock n metal, Blast Tyrant are conducting a hostile takeover of the North West and beyond, laying waste any to rock clubs, festivals and biker rallies along the way. Comrades who Blast Tyrant have graced the stage with include Phil Campbell (Motörhead) and The Bastard Sons, Stoneghost, The Plight, Nightstalker, and Foetal Juice, to name a select few. The invasion is funded by selling the now “classic” Blast Tyrant eagle logo merch, as well as current 3 track single “Revolution Is Imminent”, which was recorded by Kerry Hughes at GN Studios (Evile, Gwar, Earache Records and many more) in the breakaway republic of Huddersfield.
