All tracks on the new record were written and recorded for the 'IN A CABIN WITH Steye & the Ottowanians' in Ottawa (Canada). They were recording in a former courthouse where because of the intense cold outside (-30 degrees celsius) the heater was up to it's highest possible position. Nevertheless their room had a beautiful acoustic character that gave Philippe's seventies rogers drumkit that huge sound which became the anchor for producing our musical eagerness. The old piano they found left forgotten in a dead-end hallway had the perfect honkytonk sound to inspire two more songs. Then you know you've got enough flavours to make a record with an authentic sound of it's own.
