Maison du Malheur is a nine-piece, Dutch "old jazz and rockin' rhythm 'n blues" group, fronted by Amsterdam-based singer and songwriter, J.P. Mesker. With their pre-World War II drum beats, honky-tonk pianos and heavy horns this swinging troupe creates traditional, universal music to dance to. Maison du Malheur's second album, Wicked Transmissions, is set for a March 2013 release on esteemed Dutch indie label, Excelsior Recordings.
