“a regular on my personal stereo...there's just something incredibly likeable and endearing about them” (Steve Lamacq, BBC Radio 1) 5 vocal, upbeat, rock & roll sextet star27 have been working hard over the last 3 years to build a reputation around the UK as one of the most original and uplifting new bands around. They’ve put 2 national tours under their belt picking up dedicated fans from Islington to Dundee, along the way stopping in to share stages with, amongst others, The Kooks, Little Man Tate, Envelopes, Bearsuit and Arctic Monkeys. In summer 2006 Steve Lamacq picked up their Bukowski’s Secret demo after a tip off from a fan and proceeded to feature it as a regular play in his Radio 1 and 6 Music shows for the rest of the year before listing it in his Christmas countdown of the top ten demos of 2006. Declaring star27 as ‘incredibly likeable and endearing’, and ‘ a regular on the home stereo’, The Debut 4 track EP by the band is released On Caroline True Records on May 14th 2007.
