Stairs to Nowhere is a 4 piece band from Amsterdam who plays music described as beatific trash music. It’s played loud, original, tight and with a liveshow that has the intensity of, as the band likes to call it, “a cat duct-taped to a burning violin”. They have met many stages in the netherlands and have gained nation-wide publicity with their illegal "concert" in the half-demolished legendary Vredenburg concerthall. The album "adieu delicate atheist" has been hailed as one of the best albums of 2008 by the dutch press. The band is currently working on their second album, due to be released in 2011.
