*** This artist is presumed to be a wrong tag variation of ST/MIC *** ST/MiC (pronounced "saint mike") is a DJ/emcee/producer/engineer from Charlottesville, Virginia, US. Having learned to play the bass, guitar, and drums by the age of 14, high school meant a shift from live instruments to DJing and sample-based electronics. He studied under house-dance remixer and producer Holmes Ives. ST/MiC was originally a DJ on the East Coast's electronic dance scene, performing his hip-hop and drum'n'bass productions throughout the 90s under the artist name "St. Michael". His first release on wax was the drum'n'bass cut "Scared Before," released on the Random Recordings label in 1998.
