Sounds Like A City was an aggressive band based out of Providence, Rhode Island. They were previously known as The Coloring Book in their first year together with a completely different lineup from when they disbanded in summer of 2009. The Living Room hosted most of their shows before it closed down. The band consisted of quite a few line-ups before its departure. The band was known for their chaotic performances which included blood, bruises and broken equipment. They played numerous shows around the New England area with Hayworth, Aminals and Rivalries before breaking up. Their first ever recordings were done with Julian from Aminals. After a few shows here and there...more lineup changes...Evin from Hayworth joined as another guitarist & backing up Jon on vocals. During the summer of 2008, Evin recorded another demo of only 2 ("Dear Harlot..." & "Bullshit...") songs. The band played more shows with this material before another lineup changed occurred. Now with the final lineup change of SLAC, they headed back to Evin's to record "Winter Fresh Smiles..." and "Fin" for a compilation put out by Error Records in Illinois. The 2 songs sounded different from what SLAC normally played and marked a maturing point in the band's venture. The change was actually drastic enough that Error was surprised with what they received from the band and because the compilation was more in favor of metal and grind core bands...pleased enough, Error still insisted on adding the songs to the tr
