Sir Winston & the Commons was formed as a surf combo in 1963, in Indianalpolis. The band's first 45 was "Thunder & Lightning", as backing band to local solo act Rojay Goatee. They developed a more folkrock/psychedelic style through the 1960s and ultimately broke up in 1969-1970.
