Silent Generosity is a four piece alternative hard rock group based out of Long Island, New York. The band started in late 1998 with singer guitarist Ryan Parise and drummer Jason Buswell. For the first couple of years, Silent Generosity predominantly played a mixture of alternative and punk tunes; however over the years the band has been achieving a progressively harder sound as more and more of their music is beginning to reflect their hard rock and metal influences. Charles Shada and Denis March joined in the summer of 2003 to complete the current lineup, and just in time to enter a local battle of the bands competition which they placed third in. The band recorded their first demo in 2006 which contained the tracks On My Way, Disenchanted and Break Me Down: a CD which became popular and well known among Long Island venues. Silent Generosity continued to enjoy an increasing local following as well as playing larger and larger venues; even being given the opportunity to open for Collective Soul
