Sevil Ansamblı was an all-female jazz vocal quartet from Baku, Azerbaijan. The ensemble was active from 1971–1977 and was founded by Vaqif & Eliza Mustafazadə. The band takes its name from the 1928 play "Sevil" written by Azerbaijani playwright Cəfər Cabbarlının. The ensemble performed on television for the first time on December 31, 1971. In 1975, Rəna Talıbova joined the group and the ensemble took part in the "Transcaucasia Spring" festival in Tbilisi. A year later, the band was invited to give a concert in Warsaw, Poland. Other musicians who accompanied for the quartet were Azər Rzayev on tar, Tofiq Şabanov on saxophone, Çingiz Tağıyev on organ, as well as Tahir Rzayev, David Poysman, and Yalçın Rzazadə.
