Artist
Sensual Million took form in 2003 with Jimmy P. and F.(Stick) Rowland combining their artistic efforts into a unique singer/songwriter sound. This acoustic duo had previously played together in a now defunct hardcore metal act, seeking to expand their musically horizons, Jimmy and Stick brought forth the concept of Sensual Million. Drawing on influences wide ranging from Tool and Dredg to the likes of Snow Patrol and Coldplay, Sensual Million has invented a unique, less is more attitude. In early 2005, The Soul Sessions was released, this first studio effort was a raw, 4 hour live session featuring eight tracks. Notable songs that drew small, critically acclaim were Every Bond is Blood and The 27 Bomb which were featured on the former site, music.download.com and the duo was an editor's pick. The following is the review from the Download.com editors: "The emo balladry of this St. Louis guitar-pop duo recalls the affecting acoustic moments of Radiohead's "Hail to the Thief." Jimmy P. and F. (Stick) Rowland seem to bear the weight of the world in minimalist, minor-key tunes that lend truth to the maxim of pain producing art." After a 4 year hiatus, Jimmy and Stick have once again started the writing process for a forth-coming full-length studio release. The new album is anticipated for a late 2010 release.
