SeeYouSpaceCowboy is a metalcore band from San Diego, California, formed in October 2016 by vocalist Connie Sgarbossa, drummer Ethan Sgarbossa, and guitarists Jesse Price and Taylor Allen. Prior to its formation, the Sgarbossas played in Flowers Taped to Pens and René Descartes. Ethan originally played guitar for those bands before switching to drums for SYSC. Allen and Price were both in Recluse before the formation of Letters to Catalonia featuring Price on vocals/guitar. The band released a demo EP in 2016, followed by the 7" EP Fashion Statements of the Socially Aware in June 2017. On November 2, 2017, they released the single "Atrocities From a Story Book Perspective." Zegema Beach Records pressed fluorescent orange cassette tapes and clear 7" lathes with screen-printed b-sides. The song was recorded for free by Alexander Jacobelli to help the band recoup their gear after their trailer was stolen. In 2018, SeeYouSpaceCowboy released a split cassette/7" EP with secondgradeknifefight. In January 2019, it was revealed that the band was signed by Pure Noise Records, and on the 25th they released a compilation album Songs for the Firing Squad, featuring two new tracks and all previously released songs on CD and 12". They released their debut full-length album The Correlation Between Entrance and Exit Wounds on September 27, 2019. The band has an official homepage at http://www.syscband.com/.
