Schrute existed from November 2007 to November 2008. They remained in Central Maine and played only 3 shows. They attempted to combine the various sounds that have interested them over the years, and used records like Spiderland, Lonesome Crowded West, and Enter/Return as touchstones along with a host of other treasured albums and artists. In November of 2008 Jonathan hooked Schrute up with Travis, a vocalist and friend from USM. They started jamming and Travis joined the band soon thereafter. This new incarnation of the band plus a renewed interested in honing their sound and material warranted a name change, and so Schrute became Pamola.
