Artist
Her sultry, sweet songs are full of heartbreak and beginnings, with fiery lyrics disguised behind her dreamy, Norah Jones-like voice. Says songwriter Will Stratton, “Sara’s understated songs will carry you away before you even know you’re being carried -- like the quietest and most confident of summer breezes.” Sara attributes Regina Spektor, Feist, Norah Jones, KT Tunstall, Fiona Apple, and Lisa Hannigan as some of her biggest influences. And at the young age of 22, this singer, songwriter and performer is successfully diving into the professional music world. Sara’s music lyrics recently won 3rd place in American Songwriter Magazine’s Amateur Lyric Contest. In October she performed and was interviewed on WBTN AM Radio in Bennington, Vermont. And this winter Sara completed a fruitful 3-week long tour with her all-girl rock band Wench, traveling to 10 cities around New England. Currently, Sara is working on recording and producing her first EP, which is expected to be released in the coming months. Born and raised in New Jersey, Sara got her musical beginnings at the age of 8, when she started playing piano and singing in her first choir. She now plays guitar, mandolin, and ukulele on top of her singing and piano. She recently completed a degree in music and psychology at Bennington College in Vermont.
