St. Paul de Vence [seynt pawl duh vons] 1. A small medieval town in southern France. 2. Indie folk band notable for evocative storytelling, vintage style, layered melodies, and breathtaking harmonies. Origin: Seattle, Washington Formed in June of 2011, St. Paul de Vence entered the studio some four months later to record their first album. The album proved a success with seven straight weeks in the Top 10 of KEXP’s Americana and Pacific Northwest Charts following its release. One good thing lead to another, and the record was selected as one of KEXP’s Top Albums of 2012.
