Hi, my name is Chad. I got a guitar for my 11th birthday and didn't play it until I was fifteen. When I was thirteen, the drummer in my dad's cover band left his drum set at our house, so I started messing around with It. Then I got my own drum set when I was fourteen. When I was fifteen I started to play around with my samick strat knock off, learning a couple easy songs using power chords. About a week into playing the guitar I decided I wanted to write songs. The first two songs I wrote were awful. After a year or so I had a couple songs I was happy about and wanted to get a little more serious. I started recording with a crappy computer mic, which was a step up from the headphone I used for my first two songs(you can record using a headphone if you plug it into the mic input on a computer, but it is so quiet). After another year and a couple more songs I decided wanted to have my songs recorded with better quality. Somewhere in my junior year of high school I asked my friend Andrew Creech, who I met while doing theatre at KL and is now in the Seattle local band ________ (formerly Downpour), and he helped me out a lot. I recorded four songs with Andrew and then I started buying my own recording equipment. Anyway, now I'm almost nineteen and I have acquired a MacBook, a few condenser mics, a mixer, a drum mic pack, a bass, and a bunch of mic stands. I am definitely still learning about recording, but its coming along. I think that is it. User-contributed text is availab
