Ronald Hugo Jones, a.k.a. Ronnie Jones (born 14 September 1937 in Springfield, MA, United States) is an American singer and DJ, who first gained prominence as an R&B / blues singer in United Kingdom in the 1960s with Alexis Korner's Blues Incorporated as well as under his own name, then enjoyed more success in the 1970s and 1980s as an international radio and club DJ. He also continued to release material as a singer (often in duo with Claudia Barry). He then started a career in Italy, performing in Italian version of the musical 'Hair' (the onstage band featuring Renato Zero, Loredana Bertè and Teo Teocoli). Ronnie is still famous in Italy as the first foreign DJ on both radio and TV. A talented soul and R&B performer, he is also an actor and a prolific songwriter, he has written more than 200 songs, including for Italian superstar Zucchero ('Bambino Io, Bambino Tu') .
