Romeo's Daughter is a British rock band. Their current line-up features Leigh Matty (lead vocals), Craig Joiner (guitar and vocals), Andy Wells (drums) and Steve Drennan (bass). The band formed in 1985 as a trio, with Leigh Matty, Craig Joiner and Tony Mitman. They recorded their debut album, "Romeo's Daughter", with producers Mutt Lange and John Parr in 1988. It featured the singles "Don't Break My Heart", "I Cry Myself to Sleep at Night" and "Heaven in the Back Seat", which featured in the fifth instalment of the A Nightmare on Elm Street film franchise. Romeo's Daughter were directly involved in the production of their second album, "Delectable", which followed in 1993. The album was co-produced by Andy Reilly, and it features the lead single "Attracted to the Animal". Despite positive reception from music critics, the album was not a commercial success and Romeo's Daughter broke up soon after. In 2009, the band reformed and began touring extensively, culminating in the release of the "Romeo's Daughter Live EP". Their third album, "Rapture" was released in 2012, featuring the singles "Bittersweet" and "Alive". Classic Rock magazine listed Leigh Matty as their 5th best rock singer of all time in a 2012 article. In 2015, Romeo's Daughter released their fourth album, "Spin". They described its lyrical content as "slightly darker" than previous releases. The album was supported by a tour of the UK.
